The Flash Movie Trailer Reveals New Look At Supergirl vs Zod

A new The Flash teaser trailer reveals a brand-new look at Supergirl vs Zod. The movie will mark the first solo adventure for the speedster in movie history. Ezra Miller returns as Barry Allen in what could be the actor's final time in the role. The Flash comes from the past DC management, with the DCEU giving way to the new DC Universe, which is spearheaded by James Gunn and Peter Safran. There is still no word on if any actors from The Flash will continue in the new DC Universe, but newcomer Sasha Calle as Supergirl should have the best chance of doing so.

The Flash's new teaser showed the first look at Michael Keaton's Batman unmasked in the movie, as well as several intense-looking scenes from the movie, which included The Flash using his powers, Keaton's Batman gliding, a new look at Ben Affleck's Batman on his Batcycle, and Calle's Supergirl shouting, "What did you do?" to an off-screen Zod, teasing their confrontation. Supergirl should have an interesting role in the movie.

How Sasha Calle's Supergirl Differs From Henry Cavill's Superman

Henry Cavill's Superman exit was the first big change of the new DC regime. After that, it was revealed that there was going to be a reset of the DC Universe, with a shared universe that is more in line with the comic books taking the place of the old DCEU. The Flash's multiversal story is set to see Miller's speedster discover new DC heroes from other universes, such as Keaton's Batman and Calle's Supergirl. It was originally reported that Keaton would take over from Affleck as the new Batman, but Batgirl's cancellation, which featured Keaton, and Gunn's new DC Universe have seemingly killed that possibility.

The new DC has announced a movie for the Girl of Steel, titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. While there are not many Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow details available at the moment, the announcement that some DCEU actors will return in the DCEU with the series Waller and Creature Commandos gives hope that Calle's Supergirl could also make the jump if the character is a standout in The Flash. Despite little footage, it is already possible to notice differences between Calle's take on Supergirl and Cavill's Superman.

Calle's Supergirl is not from the same universe as Cavill's Superman. She comes into play in The Flash when Barry Allen creates a version of the comic book story "Flashpoint" after messing with the multiverse to save his mother. Supergirl is going to serve as the vessel for Superman's Flashpoint story, with the movie's first trailer showing the young woman in prison with no access to the sun, thus powerless. Supergirl will be younger than Cavill's Superman when he debuted in the DCEU, providing an interesting look at a character grasping with immense power. Based on the trailers, Supergirl's fight with Zod should be a high point in The Flash.
