The Flash is set to be one of the final films of the existing DCEU before its imminent reboot/reset, and the cast reflects the exciting multiverse misadventure The Fastest Man Alive will soon be racing through as he seeks to restore his broken timeline. Loosely based on the Flashpoint event from the original comics, the upcoming movie from director Andy Muschietti promises to be full of intense action and absolute mayhem as two worlds collide when Barry Allen tries to rewrite history for the sake of his loved ones. However, he thankfully won't be alone in his mission to set things right after his actions break the universe.
Based on the first trailer for The Flash, Barry Allen has Batman as his superhero mentor, though it doesn't look like he'll be listening to Bruce Wayne's warnings about the dangers of his speed. Instead, The Flash will choose to run back in time to save his mother from dying. This will cause a collision of worlds, creating a new reality largely devoid of metahumans. As a result, Barry will need a lot of help to undo what he did, especially with the tease that Superman might be dead in this new reality, thereby leaving Earth quite vulnerable. Here's the known cast for DC's The Flash.
Ezra Miller As The Flash/Barry Allen
Ezra Miller will be playing Barry Allen, aka The Flash. Doused by chemicals and struck by lightning, Barry Allen became the Fastest Man Alive and eventually a member of the Justice League. This will be Miller's first time reprising the role of The Flash as the lead, having been introduced with a cameo in Batman v Superman and then in a supporting role in Justice League, both of which were directed by Zack Snyder. Beyond The Flash, Miller is best known for their roles in The Fantastic Beasts franchise, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and We Need to Talk About Kevin.
Ezra Miller As Another Flash/Barry Allen
Due to the collision of worlds thanks to Barry Allen, Ezra Miller will be pulling double duty and will also play another version of Barry Allen from a separate timeline. With two Flashes in the mix, it seems the idea is that two speedsters will be better than one. However, it has been theorized that this other Barry might eventually be revealed as The Flash's ultimate villain, when and if this new Flash is somehow corrupted along the way.
