Ginny and Georgia, Beef, and 5 Netflix shows most likely to be renewed in 2023

In the past year, Netflix has gained a reputation for canceling a lot of its original series. Warrior Nun, First Kill, 1899, and more had their runs cut short for various reasons, but there are still handfuls of hit Netflix shows that are highly likely to be renewed in 2023. Bridgerton, Emily in Paris, and Virgin River will each premiere new seasons in 2023 from multi-season renewals, but each could very well be renewed again. However, we’re looking closely at veteran shows such as Ginny and Georgia, Sweet Magnolias, and Shadow and Bone, as well as newcomer reality series Perfect Match. Each are in a great position for more seasons.

Thankfully, Netflix announced the renewal of Wednesday season 2, That ’90s Show season 2, The Recruit season 2, and Outer Banks season 4 (the latter two were previously featured on this list), which comes as a great relief to worried fans. Meanwhile, other series like Sex/Life and Lockwood & Co. might not make it on this list. But you never know what could happen when it comes to Netflix!

Netflix shows likely to be renewed 2023

These are the Netflix show that still need to be renewed for new seasons but have the best shot of nabbing that coveted renewal, beginning below with Ginny & Georgia.

Will Ginny & Georgia be renewed or canceled?

Before the second season of Ginny & Georgia was even released on Jan. 5, the series returned to the top 10 list. While that could have had something to do with the seasons being released nearly two years apart, it’s still a strong sign of faith that viewers haven’t lost interest. Likewise, the second season shot straight to the peak of the top 10, making season 3 seem high likely. Based on its performance in the top 10, which placed the second season in the top 10 of the most popular English TV shows on Netflix of all time, it would take an extreme shake-up for Netflix to cancel Ginny & Georgia. If anything, Netflix should renew the fan-favorite series for two more seasons, ensuring that it would be back though season 4.
