Hugh Jackman Is 'Becoming Wolverine Again' for Deadpool 3 in Latest Workout Footage

Deadpool 3 star Hugh Jackman offers another look at one of his Wolverine workouts.

Logan star Hugh Jackman has revealed another look at the hard work he is currently putting in to bringing back Wolverine for the upcoming MCU sequel, Deadpool 3. Jackman’s triumphant return was announced at the end of last year, and the actor is now back in the gym and working hard to fill out that yellow spandex. Taking to social media to show-off all the planking that goes into building a superhero physique, Jackman already looks fighting fit to face down Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in the sequel. “If you’re looking for me. I’m #becomingwolverineagain,” Jackman said in a caption alongside the footage.

Not only is Jackman pumping iron, he is also shoveling as much food as possible down his gullet in order to once again bulk up. "Bulking," Jackman said recently on social media while sharing an image of the six meals he now eats a day to reach a massive 8,000 calories. "A day in the life. Thank you Chef Mario for helping me stay healthy and properly fed whilst .. Becoming. Wolverine. Again."Jackman and his Deadpool 3 co-star and long-time rival, Ryan Reynolds, are now in stiff competition when it comes to the gym, with the latter recently taking to social media to state that he too is working to ensure he is “Keeping Up With The Jackmans.”

Deadpool 3 Will Land in Theaters in 2024

While plot details for Deadpool 3 remain largely under wraps, a new synopsis has revealed that the sequel is "Another chapter in the raunchy, violent, and of course, hilarious Deadpool series." Which does not really tell us much. It is now hotly rumored that Deadpool 3 will see Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson and Hugh Jackman’s Logan embarking on a road trip, with many speculating that the Deadpool threequel could take a meta approach and follow the pair in their attempt to leave the crumbling Fox universe behind in favor of the MCU.

One thing we do know is that Deadpool 3 will bring Jackman back as the same old Logan. “There’s no choice. He’s definitely the angrier, acerbic, grumpy [Wolverine] and he’s gonna take a lot of free shots at Ryan Reynolds, let me tell you. Physically, that is,” Jackman revealed.

The Wolverine star has also offered some insight into the hate/hate relationship at the center of Deadpool 3. "How do I categorize it? Ten being really close, zero being the reality, we're zero, we're opposites, hate each other,” he said. “I'm just talking from my perspective, [Logan's] frustrated by him, wants to be a million miles away from him or wants to punch him in the head. Unfortunately, he can't be a million miles away from him in this movie, so I'm probably going to punch him in the head a lot."

Directed by Shawn Levy and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and starring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and The Crown star Emma Corrin, Deadpool 3 is scheduled to be released on November 8, 2024, as part of Phase Six of the MCU.
